Storm Imogen brought some very strong winds across southern parts as it moved eastwards over the UK on Monday 8 February. Stormy conditions are seeing large waves out at sea and some hazardous conditions on the coast. The RNLI are advising to take extra care by the coast while the Environment Agency has issued a reminder to take care while taking videos and photos of stormy conditions.
A wave height of 19.1 metres was recorded off the coast of St Ives, that’s about the same height as the Angel of the North.
